Half Wall Restoration in Wallingford, CT

Half Wall Restoration in Wallingford, CT

Before After
Half Wall Restoration in Wallingford, CT Half Wall Restoration in Wallingford, CT

This Wallingford basement had water damage that affected the walls of the basement. The bottom of the walls usually are affectedmore drastically becauuse they are the first to be in contact with any water in the basement. The homeowner had two problems to fix, their wet basement floor and the bottom of their walls. He decided to call Connecticut Basement Systems to help find them a solution.

The solution to this problem was to first install a WaterGuard system to keep the basement dry all year long. Next, a half wall restoration was installed to the basement to repair any damage that was done and to prevent any from happening in the future. Not only does the half wall restoration guarantee protection, but it also looks great in the basement! This is exactly what the homeowner had wanted and was thrilled with the results.

Mold Damage in Middle River, MD

Do you have mold in your basement?

Water can easily damage your home’s foundation, whether this be from flooding, moisture, or just excess water seeping through your foundation’s concrete over time. The real problem occurs when moisture comes in contact with organic materials like wood, plywood, carpet, tiles, fiberglass, and even products like “mold-resistant” drywall. Water in the basement means mold and rot will begin to grow on the drywall (in some cases where not visible) and will may need to be repaired, over even worse, re-gutted. But there is a solution!

Why our basement finishing products are the solution!

Beatiful Basement Flooring in Middle River, MD

To prevent damage from flooding or excess water in your basement, we install a water drainage system before finishing your basement using waterproof and mold resistant materials. Our materials look just like wood and tile but are inorganic and resistant to mold. Our materials are also easily washable. You don’t need to search for studs in order to hang items on the wall, as our panels support up to 300 lbs! Each of the panels is built with an unbroken sheet of insulation inside and the floor panels have raised pegs keeping them off the concrete. This completely insulates your basement.

Job Stories From Wallingford, CT
Basement Finishing in Wallingford, CT

This Wallingford home's basement was cold and uninviting, and the homeowners were uncomfortable any time they made a trip down into it. They wanted to turn the space into a basement that they could truly enjoy, so when their friend referred them to the experts at Total Basement Finishing, they reached out to find the basement solution best for them.

Sales Representative Brad Glazer traveled to the home to devise a plan for finishing the basement. He talked to the homeowners to get an idea of their vision for the basement, and decided that making that vision a reality meant new floors, walls, and a drop ceiling would need to be installed. Soon, Finishing Foreman Allan Guglielmoni arrived to begin the basement transformation. Specifically designed for basement environments, EverLast wall panels are strong, durable and waterproof, making it the perfect addition to any basement. ThermalDry Elite Planking is also waterproof and come with a built in thermal barrier that helps to keep the finished floor about ten degrees warmer compared to traditional concrete flooring. Finally, Allan finished the project by installing our Ceiling Linen Tiles, which are backed by a 30-year warranty against sagging. These beautiful tlies help to brighten the space and give it a nice, finished look.

Once the basement was completely finished, the homeowners were thrilled with the results. They could not believe how dramatic the basement transformation was, and could not wait to enjoy the newly improved space for years to come.

Water in basement
Project Location: Wallingford, CT
Hi, Just looking to have someone come out and check out the basement and foundation again. We've notice a number of nail pops, and drywall cracks appearing as well as the settlement cracks in the basement getting larger.
Project Location: Wallingford, CT
I have been getting water in my basement for a long time, this year is worse then ever. We'd like to finish the basement and I'm trying to determine if we need a sump pump, curtain drain or both.
Project Location: Wallingford, CT
I have a sump pump in my basement that is working. Prior to last week's storms, I have never seen it running, but now it seems to have a continual feed of water going into it. It does not seem to be slowing down, as every 33-35 minutes, the sump pump runs to drain the water that collects in the basin. My concern is that there is a leak somewhere that may be feeding into it, but I just don't know exactly where that might be from

30-year-old (DIY project) finished basement & laundry. Recent water damage has compromised the flooring and potentially will create a mold issue. I am considering a remodel upgrade of the rooms. I would appreciate an estimate and your design ideas. Thank you, Jim & Maureen Waldron,

One section of basement gets water during heavy rains, Comes up through floor
Project Location: Wallingford, CT
With a small crack or two on one wall that faces a hill, and two "weep" holes in a concrete floor, and the base of a chimney we occasionally get water in the basement through one, both, and rarely all of these avenues. Over the last 4 years of ownership, no more than an inch or two for 800 sq ft of unfinished area. There is a water mitigation system (not sure if french drain or just drain) in the yard to help mitigate the water from the hill, away from the house, but the small flooding persists. looking for waterproofing, sump pump, or possibly both to keep the basement much dryer and flood free.
Project Location: Wallingford, CT
Our basement gets water during big rain or snow storms. We live in a very wet area. Water comes in through 3/4 spot. It stays around the perimeter of the basement. About 1/2 deep. Half our basement is finished, half unfinished. We are interested in a quote and to fully solve our water issues. Thank you, Emily

NOT SURE WHERE THE WATER IS COMING FROM-NEED YOUR EXPERTISE TO RESOLVE
Project Location: Wallingford, CT
Currently have unfinished basement. Want to create an open floor plan that includes small bar, lounge space, office, bedroom/walk-in closet
Project Location: Wallingford, CT
Every time it rains there is one spot in the basement that gets water coming in. I've realized this is due to the land/dirt outside being higher than the foundation in one area. Was wondering if you would remedy this issue.
