This home in Woodbury, CT was very damp and not visually appealing. So the homeowners contacted CT Basement Systems to go from "Basement To Beautiful." We installed our Everlast wall system which is not only 197% stronger than drywall so you can hang a TV but will NEVER support mold or mildew growth. We then replaced the old carpet that when wet supported mold and mildew and made the basement smell musty. We put in our ThermalDry® Basement Flooring which is durable, waterproof and built to last. Unlike traditional ceramic basement floor tiles, ThermalDry® basement flooring will never crack, is stain resistant and its interlocking design assures that damaged tiles can be easily replaced. Mold Damage in Middle River, MD

Do you have mold in your basement?

Water can easily damage your home’s foundation, whether this be from flooding, moisture, or just excess water seeping through your foundation’s concrete over time. The real problem occurs when moisture comes in contact with organic materials like wood, plywood, carpet, tiles, fiberglass, and even products like “mold-resistant” drywall. Water in the basement means mold and rot will begin to grow on the drywall (in some cases where not visible) and will may need to be repaired, over even worse, re-gutted. But there is a solution!

Why our basement finishing products are the solution!

Beatiful Basement Flooring in Middle River, MD

To prevent damage from flooding or excess water in your basement, we install a water drainage system before finishing your basement using waterproof and mold resistant materials. Our materials look just like wood and tile but are inorganic and resistant to mold. Our materials are also easily washable. You don’t need to search for studs in order to hang items on the wall, as our panels support up to 300 lbs! Each of the panels is built with an unbroken sheet of insulation inside and the floor panels have raised pegs keeping them off the concrete. This completely insulates your basement.

Job Stories From Litchfield County, CT
Basement Transformation in Barkhamsted, CT

These Barkhamsted, CT homeowners were tired of letting the space in their unfinished basement go to waste. Instead of a cold, dark storage room, they wanted a warm and comfortable living area to enjoy. They researched some potential solutions and came upon the Total Basement Finishing Website. The homeowners could see that they had found the right company for the job and called to schedule an appointment.

On the day of the appointment, Sales Representative Chuck Propheter traveled to the home to assess the basement. He soon realized that there was great potential for transforming the unfinished room into a beautiful living space that the homeowners would enjoy. He shared his thoughts with the homeowners, proposing some ideas and products that would help to reinvent their basement. Chuck knew that the basement would need finished floors, walls, and ceiling for a full transformation. He recommended ThermalDry flooring, EverLast walls, and Finished Linen Ceiling Tiles. After talking to Chuck, the homeowners decided to move forward with the project.

Foreman Roberto Calle soon traveled to the home with his crew to start production. They began their work by installing EverLast walls throughout the basement. The homeowners chose EverLast because it offers many advantages that drywall does not. Made from rigid foam insulation and a vinyl-finished concrete cladding, EverLast eliminates the need for fiberglass batts and is 197% stronger than drywall. This level of functionality and visual appeal makes it the perfect wall system for any basement. Next the crew installed the Finished Linen Ceiling Tiles. These tiles are designed specifically for basements, and they come with a 30-year warranty against mold growth and sagging. With a subtle aesthetic look, Finished Ceiling Linen hides unsightly plumbing and wiring but keeps it easily accessible, and will help give the basement a neat finish for years to come. Finally, the crew finished up the basement by installing ThermalDry tiles in Sandstone Gray. These innovative tiles sit on small plastic pegs that separates them from the concrete basement floor. This provides a thermal break between the cold concrete and the tile, keeping ThermalDry 8-10 degrees warmer than the concrete below. The crew was also able to install it rather quickly, because ThermalDry tiles simply snap together with interlocking joints.

As the crew finished up, the homeowners could not believe their basement’s transformation. What was once a cold, unfinished room had become beautiful living space they could enjoy every day. The homeowners were delighted with the results and excited to enjoy their home in a new way.

ThermalDry and EverLast in Watertown, CT

This Watertown, CT homeowner wanted to turn his cold, dark basement into something more. The basement had concrete walls, exposed duct work, overhead rafters, and several steel support poles that made for an unsightly scene. The basement could not be used for anything but storage and was going to waste. Looking for a solution to his problem, the homeowner reached out to the experts at Total Basement Finishing for help.

On the day of the appointment, Sales Representative Ray Lecours traveled to the home to evaluate the basement. Ray introduced himself and began his work, taking measurements and assessing the area. It was not long before he realized that the space had great potential to be a beautiful living space. He shared his thoughts with the homeowner and proposed some products that would help transform the basement into something that he would enjoy. Excited by their discussion, the homeowner decided to move forward with the project.

Foreman Erik Dobrzycki and his crew arrived at the home on the day of production to begin their work. First, they installed EverLast walls throughout the basement. This wall panel system is characterized by their innovative design, which includes a combination of Rigid Foam insulation and a ½ inch concrete cladding, which is finished with a vinyl surface treatment. Both effective and aesthetic, these walls provide excellent insulation value and are 197% stronger than traditional drywall, making them a great addition to any basement.

Next, the crew installed ThermalDry flooring. ThermalDry is designed specifically for basement environments and will not be damaged by moisture or support mold growth. With simple joint attachments ThermalDry can typically be installed in about one day and requires no subfloor or fasteners of any kind. Each tile sits on small plastic pegs that create a built-in thermal break, keeping the basement floor 8-10 degrees warmer than the cold concrete below.

As the crew finished up, the homeowner was thrilled with the results. Once a cold, dark storage area, his basement had been transformed into a comfortable living space that he could use as he pleased. He could not wait to show the improvement to his friends and family, and to enjoy the space for years to come.
