Photo Album: Basement Transformation in Cornwall Bridge, CT
This Cornwall Bridge, CT home used to have a cold and uninviting basement with concrete walls and floors. With exposed insulation overhead and wooden support posts, the basement was not fit for the homeowner to use as additional living space. As a result, the basement was used only for storage and became cluttered over time. The homeowner wanted to maximize his basement's potential, so when he came across our ad in the newspaper, he picked up the phone and called the experts at Total Basement Finishing to find a solution.
Our experienced Basement Finishing Foreman Mike Towle soon began working on the project, installing a number of our patented products to transform the basement piece by piece. ThermalDry floors, which come with a thermal barrier that keeps them up to 10 degrees warmer than concrete floors, were installed elegantly and efficiently. Then, Mike installed EverLast walls, which brightened up the space dramatically, and also helped to keep the basement warm and energy efficient with built-in rigid foam insulation. Finally, Mike pulled the finished product together by installing Ceiling Linen tiles, which conceals eyesores like insulation and electrical wiring or pipes. Plus, Ceiling Linen is unique from other ceiling tiles because they will not sag over time, and are designed specifically for basement environments. When the project was complete, the homeowner could not believe the transformtation, and could not wait to make use of his beautiful new basement.
